. After spending $12 billion an month in Iraq and Afghanistan
I hope they do not try to say that the program was too expensive. ADS It is sad to say
but they were probably just a prop so the president could
get his “comprehensive” bill passed.


June 24, ’07. News that Nathan Sproul will be working for
the coalition set up to oppose the Arizona employer sanctions bill. APH

KAET has video of Julie Pace talking about the lawsuit against
HB 2779. (See Wed., July 18 Employer Sanction Lawsuit.) Julie’s resume
is indeed impressive but her argument against the Arizona bill
seemed more emotional than legal.

law. The system was overhauled last year in anticipation of federal

employment
- They’re not here for citizenship, they just want to export U.S.

June 22, ’07. Loews Ventana Canyon Resort has been using the EEV
(Basic Pilot) for about 4 years with few problems (right side of article.) "I love it.
It's actually very easy to use and I feel very confident in the information we get
back in just a few seconds," said HR director Beth-El Klein.

June 21, ’07. Elian Bermudez of Inmigrantes Sin Fronteras (now that
is really an open borders group) has called for a boycott of the 2008 Supper Bowl to be held
in Glendale. He is not calling for a boycott on attendance but rather on labor. His group is
taking a risk in that the event might precede just fine thank you without the
participation of his supporters, thus weakening his case significantly.


June 20, ’07. Exposing the lie - “doing work that American won’t do”
According to this article about the arrest of a convicted child molester as he illegally
entered the U.S. up to 11% of illegal entrants have criminal backgrounds.
I wonder if the residents of Arizona will be upset that this man
will not be preparing their next hamburger as he works alongside teenage kids.
Maybe they will be mad that he does not have access to the personal information in
the glove compartment
as he cleans their vehicle at the local carwash.


June 20, ’07. According to a story in The Business Journal of Phoenix
by Mike Sunnucks the State of Arizona is having to spend emergency funds because
of a rise in cases of tuberculosis and syphilis. The article mentions that the
increase is linked to illegal immigration.
